Article #: 13133

Like other mobile device manufacturers, Datalogic releases updates for their scanners. These firmware updates allow you to install the most current version of Android OS onto your scanner, ensuring stable operation. Follow the steps below to update your Memor 10 Firmware.

You will need:

  • The latest, correct Memor 10 firmware update. EBI can assist you in determining and obtaining the appropriate firmware based on your device’s serial number.
  • USB-C cable or USB-drive to transfer the firmware onto the device.

Currently, there are three operating systems for the Memor 10:

  • Android 8.1
  • Android 9
  • Android 10

IMPORTANT: If you are updating from Android 8.1 to Android 10, you MUST update to Android 9 first.

  1. Connect the Memor 10 to your computer via the USB-C cable, or:
    Connect the USB drive to your Memor 10 scanner.
  2. On the Memor 10, pull down the top menu and locate the notification that confirms that the scanner is connected as a charging device or that there is a USB for the transfer.
  1. Open the USB notification (highlighted in the image, above) and select the Transfer Files option.

  1. Do not unzip the firmware file. Copy the firmware file to the root directory of the Memor.

  2. After the file transfer is complete, open:
  3. Android 8 to 9: Settings -> System -> Updates -> Local Upgrade
  4. Android 9 to 10: Settings -> Datalogic Settings -> System Update -> Local Upgrade
  5. Click on the firmware file to complete the update.
  6. You can verify success by opening Settings -> About phone to check the Android version.
