Explanation

This message appeared during an attempted conversion of a LABEL MATRIX v8 file to CODESOFT 2015 using the CODESOFT Label Converter function. The function was activated by using the Open File feature, changing the file type to QDF, and attempting to open the LABEL MATRIX file directly from CODESOFT. It appears CODESOFT was unable to recognize elements of the old LABEL MATRIX file structure.

Solution

This error message was avoided by upgrading the LABEL MATRIX QDF file BEFORE converting. Simply we followed these steps:

  1. Opened the LABEL MATRIX v8 file using LABEL MATRIX 2015
  2. Saved the file using LABEL MATRIX 2015
  3. Open the newly saved (i.e. upgraded) LABEL MATRIX file in CODESOFT 2015
