Target Audience: Basic User, Advanced User, IT Manager
Article #: 13112
Summary
Shapes made in 2015 CODESOFT are shifting to the right when printed from 2021 CODESOFT on a Zebra printer. Typically these shapes are lines and rectangles. And, these shapes are the only objects on the label which are shifting. Fortunately, as you will see below, the solution is straightforward and simple.
Situation and Symptoms
- When a label created in CODESOFT 2015 is opened in CODESOFT 2021 and then printed on a Zebra printer, certain elements will shift to the right.
- The user recently upgraded from CODESOFT 2015 to CODESOFT 2021

Solution
To resolve this issue, you will need to convert the shape to a graphic. The lines and other affected shapes are currently registered as ZPL code.
- Right-click on the shape to open its Properties.
- Go to General
- In the Options tab, check the Send as graphic option.
Once the shape has been converted to a graphic, it will be rendered as a binary image and will no longer shift to the right when printed.
Additional Comments
