“Folder: …doesn’t exist!” – BreadCrumbs Error Message

A user attempting to save an Export file to a designated location is instead presented with an error message stating that the target folder doesn’t exist. In the incident that sparked this article, the Info window read, “Folder: C:\Sigo\Integrator\DropFiles doesn’t exist!” Follow the instructions to resolve this issue.


The message itself is straightforward, although the solution may be a little more complex. It indicates that BreadCrumbs is unable to save an Export file to the designated location. And, while it is possible that the folder does not exist as the message states, it is also possible that the folder is actually there. In this case, BreadCrumbs cannot access it because it is not shared or it lacks the proper permissions.

Quick Fixes

If the folder was inadvertently not created, then create the folder at C:\Sigo\Integrator\DropFiles.

If the folder is, in fact at that location, then make sure that App permissions for BreadCrumbs is set to On for File System within Settings.
