Summary
A cloud data source connection created in CODESOFT for an Excel spreadsheet appears to connect to the spreadsheet successfully. However, when loading the CODESOFT label, an error shows that the spreadsheet could not be found.
Situation and symptoms
CODESOFT may show that the Test connection is successful. This means that the spreadsheet could be found, but CODESOFT is unable to find and open the spreadsheet. The following error occurs when loading a CODESOFT label after successfully creating a data source connection to a cloud-based spreadsheet:
Solution
Cloud storage files are not supported by CODESOFT UDLs. Only Google Sheets, Excel Online, and in some cases, Microsoft SharePoint can be used as a cloud-based data source.
