“Contents of item ‘Picture’ cannot be set because its value is invalid” – NiceLabel Print Error

Target Audience: Advanced User, IT Manager, Basic User

Article #:13885

Summary

Using NiceLabel Print, the error “Contents of item “Picture” cannot be set because its value is invalid” appears in the label preview section when attempting to print. However, the picture may appear correctly when trying to print as another user, or from NiceLabel Designer.

Explanation

NiceLabel Print cannot find or access the image that is referenced in the label.

Solution

  1. Check that the image physically exists in the folder path or Cloud folder that is referenced in the label.
  2. Embedding the picture into the label will make the label and image portable together, but central referencing to the image will be removed.
  3. Ensure that the NiceLabel Print user has Read access rights to the folder in the Cloud, LMS, or network folder that contains the image.
