Cannot Edit or Print label from BACKTRACK with CODESOFT – BACKTRACK and CODESOFT Problem

Symptoms

When trying to print or edit label from BACKTRACK, CODESOFT will open, the label will briefly appear on the CODESOFT screen then CODESOFT will exit.

Explanation

This appears to be a glitch in CODESOFT and BACKTRACK integration. If we directly open the label file from CODESOFT, everything is fine. The problem only happens when trying to open the label file from BACKTRACK. The problem was traced to the state of the label file when it was last saved. When the label file has the label design and form design windows open at the same time (side-by-side), this caused the problem. Closing the form design window and save the file will fix the problem.
