Adding Active Directory Users – LABEL ARCHIVE Instructions

This article will guide you through the steps in adding active directory users for LABEL ARCHIVE.


You will need:

  • Access to the LABEL ARCHIVE server
  • Permissions in LABEL ARCHIVE to add users
  • UMSS groups already set up – if needed – for new users
  • Server added to Domain
  • Active Directory running in LAN


  1. Open UMSS-MSGS Manager
Locating the UMSS-MSGS Servers Administration application.
  1. Log into UMSS-MSGS.
UMSS Management login window.
  1. Right-click on the Users node and select Synchronize with Active Directory from the pop-up menu.
Synchronize with Active Directory option.
  1. Select domain and filter options and then press Refresh to see the list from Active Directory.
Refresh to import users list.
  1. Click on the appropriate check boxes in the grid to the right of the user names to add users to the desired UMSS groups.
  2. Click on Import Users.
Add users to the appropriate user groups.
